What is making
work difficult?
Begin with everyday barriers, not labels. Explore communication, priorities, interruptions, sensory demands, meetings, task sequencing, change, deadlines, feedback and overload.
Agree adjustments individually. A diagnosis does not automatically determine what support someone needs.

01 / Understand the barrier
Verbal instructions and frequent priority changes make work difficult to track.
02 / Explore options together
Written task briefs, an agreed priority list and a short check-in when priorities change.
03 / Review what helps
Are instructions clearer? Are tasks easier to track and complete?
Options to discuss—not automatic legal recommendations. This preview does not save or share a plan.
A useful starting point, without registration.
The planned free toolkit brings together an introduction to ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other differences; five short learning modules; ten barrier guides; a supportive-conversation guide; an employee worksheet; and a working agreement template.
Toolkit resources and collaborative workflows are in development. The example above is a public demonstration, not a connected workspace.
Australia / Employer responsibilities
Reasonable adjustments are part of fair employment.
Draft legal content · Expert review pending
Legal review date: not yet reviewed
Australian disability discrimination law protects people with disability in employment. Where a neurodivergent person falls within the law’s definition of disability, employers must consider and provide reasonable adjustments needed to perform the inherent requirements of their role, unless doing so would impose unjustifiable hardship.
Adjustments may involve communication, equipment, the work environment or how work is organised. Many involve little or no cost.
The Fair Work Act also prohibits certain adverse action because of physical or mental disability, subject to statutory exceptions. State and territory laws may impose additional obligations. Formal flexible-working requests and disability-related adjustments can involve different legal processes.
Understand the barrier. Discuss individual needs. Consider suitable adjustments. Record agreed actions. Review what works.
